The first news I received from my friend just after I came back from Korea is not a good news afterall. In fact, it's a BAD news! Attention to those hardcore japanese fans out there! The annual Bon Odori Festival is just around the corner. Yippy! Venue: Matsushita Sports Centre, Shah Alam Date : 16th of July 2005 (Saturday) Time : Preferably reach there by 7pm :) Here is a brief on Bon Odori. Bon Odori is an event, which held during the Buddhist festival period called Obon in Japan. It is celebrated as a reminder of how one should feel grateful towards their ancestors. The original Nenbutsu folk dance expresses the effusive welcome towards the spirits of the dead; the dance tends to vary by region. Bon Odori hits off this year with drum performances (yay!), cultural dances and also features guest performers. Be sure to go! Trust me, you won't regret it ;)
